Since commencing operation in 1964, Stradbroke Ferries has grown to become the largest marine operator in Moreton Bay, with seven vehicle ferries and one water taxi. Today Stradbroke Ferries operates vehicle ferries and water taxi services to North Stradbroke Island and vehicle ferry services to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands of Lamb, Karragarra, Macleay and Russell.
Over the course of 50 years, Stradbroke Ferries have made a significant contribution to the communities and visitors in both economic and employment terms and the continued growth of the tourism industry in the region.
Each year Stradbroke Ferries vessels make approximately 25,000 crossings of Moreton Bay.
The newest addition to the fleet, the Minjerribah, was built in 2003 and can hold up to 52 cars and 400 passengers.
