Captain Cook Cruises successfully began operations of their new fish market ferry service on Saturday 24 March 2018, just in time for the coming Easter weekend. The new route has also become the 12th stop on their popular two-day Hop on Hop off Harbour Explorer cruise.
According to Anthony Haworth, Captain Cook Cruises, General Manager, “we were really pleased with the first weekend of operation with hundreds of regulars and visitors enquiring about the new Sydney Fish Market service.”
“The passenger feedback has been fantastic. They love our little red rocket ferries and they especially enjoy the relaxing thirty-minute trip, avoiding the usual traffic congestion around the Sydney Fish Market at peak times.” Continues Mr Haworth.
The Fish Market ferry operates Saturday and Sunday departing every 40 minutes between 9:00am and 5:00pm from Sydney Fish Market and Barangaroo, King Street Wharf No.1. The Sydney Fish Market ferry is priced at $9 per person one way and $15 per person return.
Sydney Fish Market has also been added as an optional 12th stop on Captain Cook Cruises Hop on Hop off Harbour Explorer two-day pass.
The Harbour Explorer hops from one Sydney Harbour attraction to another, with up to 80 departures each day. The flexible two-day pass means passengers have more time to visit and enjoy each destination.
The rocket ferries depart the main tourist precincts of Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and Manly, for a 60 to 90-minute cruise around the Harbour featuring live commentary and with a choice of 11 famous stopovers mid-week and 12 on a weekend.
Stopovers include Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo, Watson’s Bay, Luna Park, Manly, Darling Harbour, Fort Denison, Shark Island, Garden Island, Barangaroo, Sydney ICC and on weekends Sydney Fish Market.
The cruise departs from Circular Quay, Wharf 6 and Darling Harbour, Pier 26 every 30 - 60 minutes and is priced at $49 per adult and $27 per child (4-15yrs). The optional Sydney Fish Market stop can be added for an additional $10 per person.
Over the Easter period the Fish Market Ferry will operate daily and as part of the Harbour Explorer cruise from Good Friday (30 March) to Easter Monday (02 April) 2018.
