The tourism operations of STG provides a variety of touring options and experiences for destinations across Australia. Our endeavour is create packages suited for different audience segments so that the overall experience is suited to the traveller's personal lifestyle and interests.
Australian Holiday Travel Centres & City Centre Travel
- In 2000 STG purchased its first fully fledged retail travel agency in Adelaide, City Centre Travel which is based in the high traffic, CBD area and maintains a strong regular client base as well as servicing tourists and local city workers in the CBD area.
- VIC and NSW are the largest interstate tourism markets for South Australia, and the STG transport and tourism operations. In 2003 the STG acquired 2 retail travel agencies; (Sydney and Melbourne) with the vision to connect Australians with icons and landscapes across our great country.
- With more and more Australians opting to explore their own backyards, the future for our travel centres and for domestic Australian tourism is looking bright.
Adelaide Sightseeing Day Tours
- Adelaide Sightseeing been a part of the STG for over 10 years and delivers some of Adelaide's best sightseeing experiences.
- Over the years Adelaide Sightseeing has become an integral part of the STG coach and tour operations, combining new and exciting touring experiences through Adelaide and its surrounding regions.
- As we enter the new decade, Adelaide Sightseeing is looking above and beyond Adelaide and will open up new destinations with new partnerships and a strong strategic focus ie Barossa Valley and Flinders Ranges deluxe tours.
- Adelaide Panda Tours was launched in early 2010 to coincide with the introduction of Giant Pandas to the Adelaide Zoo. Exclusive 'behind the scenes' tours are available through Adelaide Panda Tours along with Adelaide accommodation packages.
Ski Holidays
- In 2004 the STG invested in a small ski packaging company in order to expand its holiday options to its growing customer database, as well as to utilise coach operations during the slower winter months.
- The Ski Connection operates express coach services to the Victorian Alps from Adelaide as well as self—drive, flly-drive package options.
- The Ski Connection works with all of the key accommodation providers in Falls Creek, Mt Buller and Mt Hotham.
Kangaroo Island Adventure Tours
- To break into the growing international backpacker and adventure market, in 2006 STG acquired the Kangaroo Island arm of 'Adventure Tours Australia'. This operation is specifically designed for the young adventurer.
Vivonne Bay Eco Adventures
- Vivonne Bay Eco Adventures is home to Kangaroo Island Adventure Tour passengers. It is a magnificent property on 206 hectares at Vivonne Bay, with a kilometre of beach frontage.
- Accommodation is stylish-budget and dormitory with a great bistro, outdoor decking and a range of adventure activities including trail bike riding, kayaking, surfing, sandboarding at nearby Little Sahara and there is also lots of wildlife with resident kangaroos, wallabies and koalas – all in an eco-friendly environment.
Kangaroo Island Odysseys
- Small group touring in luxury Landcruisers and Isuzu 4WD's. Kangaroo Island Odysseys specialise in operating foreign language tours in German, Italian and French.
TravelLink Australia
- Tourism wholesale business specialising in event packaging for Clipsal 500 Adelaide and other major festivals.
- TravelLink works with over 200 vendor partners throughout Australia and also provides distribution of tourism products and packages throughout the world.
Awards
- STG's efforts in tourism, transportation, business and export have been rewarded with numerous awards over the years which are testament to the fact that STG is now, by far, one of SA's most successful tour & transport operators. The most recent award was the 2009 SA Tourism Gold Award for Best Major Tour & Transport Operator, an award that has been won many times over within the state and nationally.
